Modern world offers many choices and digital media to share a message and interact with brands and people. Because of this, anyone can create content that generates engagement and specific actions.

Brands are aware of this, and moreover are the most interested in getting involved in the online conversations that users are having on their social media.

FLUVIP, an on-line platform dedicated to connect brands with influencers that was accelerated by Wayra Colombia in 2014, not only automated the Influence Marketing practice in Latin America but is committed to a larger mission: to help it’s users monetize their personal social media.

FLUVIP has more than 30,000 registered users and has grown into four more countries

Influence Marketing embodies for many marketers a new era of marketing, ever since they realized that recommendation is much more powerful than any campaign on mass media. However, Influence Marketing is a practice not fully developed in North America and quite unexplored in Latin America.

Being aware of this need, Sebastian Jasminoy, entrepreneur, businessman and founder/CEO of Fluvip, understood the importance of online recommendations and identified the lack of a digital platform that helped social media users to make money from the posts and conversations that they made.

The online audience in Latin America is growing at a very fast pace across the region, being social media where users spend most of their time. Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter are the preferred social media platforms in Colombia. These are the spaces by which users keep up and interact with brands, but also where they share experiences, opinions and recommendations with their social media circle.

FLUVIP platform has its own panel of analytics, thanks to an exclusive partnership with Twitter. This allows influencers (term for social media users with the power to influence others in their social media community) register, link their social media accounts (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram) and get campaign proposals from the most recognized brands such as: Sony, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Samsung, Unilever, Adidas, Avianca, General Motors, Nestle, DIRECTV, LG, FOX and Volkswagen.

“This is a breakthrough for developing countries like Colombia, that are going through economic growth and openness to new technologies and ways of doing business. In addition, Colombians have a huge potential and willingness to generate alternative sources of income, and FLUVIP makes this possible in a completely safe, controlled and official way”, according to Jasminoy.

An on-line platform dedicated to a larger mission: helping it’s users monetize their personal social media.

In Colombia, about 18,000 influencers have joined FLUVIP. On average, an Influence Marketing campaign (consisting of 3-6 posts) can cost between 20 and 50 million Colombian pesos, and depending on the brand´s marketing goals and desired campaign scope, it may include from 5 to 20 influencers.

Influence Marketing can become a small business for those who know how to take advantage of their social networks, as indicated by Zorro, a renowned Colombian radio DJ registered as influencer of FLUVIP.

To FLUVIP, DJ Zorro is a success case. Ever since he joined the platform he has strengthened and grown his audience. Therefore, he permanently collaborates with internationally renowned brands that value his youthful style and positive impact on his audience.

Another success case in this marketing trend are YouTubers (YouTube users that earn money from filming videos that set trends and introduce brands to viewers). For many of them, their videos have become their main source of income, making a lot of money from creating video content and sharing it with their YouTube channel subscribers.

To help social media users get to this, FLUVIP platform features allow any influencer to:

  • Be exposed to brands around the world.
  • View detailed information on their Twitter followers.
  • Accept only campaigns that suit their interests and customize the language and style for suggested tweets.
  • Schedule automatic posts.
  • View and use the platform from any mobile device.

FLUVIP has more than 30,000 registered users and has grown into four more countries in Latin America (Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Peru, in addition to the Hispanic market in the United States).
