1 November, 2013: Recently, I ticked something off the bucket list – sharing the stage with MC Hammer. No, I didn’t gate crash an 80’s revival rap concert, I actually accepted an award on behalf of Wayra and The Agent Panda at the Evernote Conference 2013.

We recently announced partnership with Evernote, which included exclusive access to Evernote for Telefónica customers globally starting with those in Brazil.  In addition, all participants in Wayra, Telefonica’s accelerator program, now receive premium Evernote for Business accounts, making Wayra the only accelerator to have this feature in the welcome pack. From our side, Wayra hosts Evernote hack events across Latin American and European Wayra academies, as part of a joint talent scouting program.

At the conference, one such Wayra-participant, The Agent Panda, had the honour of being selected to go into Evernote’s first-ever accelerator program, a very exclusive opportunity only open to 12 companies. The Agent Panda is a service from Columbia for coordinating group travel, letting you use Evernote to clip items from the web, as well as recommend activities and build an itinerary.

Telefónica Digital, Wayra and Evernote all share the same passion for fostering entrepreneurs, and facilitating innovation whenever and wherever we can, and the Conference was a wonderful opportunity to bring the community together. Besides seeing a range of exciting young start-ups such as Bubble Browser, Hop.in and SmartTM, and hearing from speakers including Mark Benioff (Salesforce), Om Malik (GigaOM) and Randy J. Hunt (Etsy), for me, the highlight was accepting the award on behalf of The Agent Panda – turns out you “can” touch this
