Campus Party 2013 Keynote highlight – David Rowan

David Rowan has made it his life’s work to attempt to ascertain the future and communicate with those who have a similar aim. Rowan has spoken at events such as TEDGlobal, DLD and NEXT, and at private events for organisations such a Goldman Sachs, Capgemini and BBC Worldwide, to name but a few.

He has spoken on topics from entrepreneurialism to e-commerce and technology in places like Dubai, Melbourne, Geneva and Shanghai. Rowan is a prolific writer and journalist, who currently writes on digital and tech topics for GQ magazine and Conde Nast Traveller. He has edited The Guardian’s websites, made TV films for Channel 4 News and written for The Telegraph and Sunday Times Magazines. He has also conceived and launched a number of magazines for UK national media.

In 2009 Rowan launched WIRED UK and went on to win Launch of the Year at the British Society of Magazine Editors Awards. WIRED UK also won Technology & Gadget Magazine of the Year at the 2012 Digital Magazine Awards, with Rowan named Editor of the Year. Rowan also works with inspiring innovators and entrepreneurs. It is a source of honour and excitement for Campus Party to welcome David Rowan as a keynote speaker – a man passionate about bringing people together and unravelling the future.
